Baby Sleeping Problems
All parents will experience baby sleep problems at some point or another. With these basic steps, you could help your baby sleep night. Establishing what is called a baby sleep routine will help a lot, this is done by establishing the same routine every day before bedtime and feeding before sleep.
Establishing a bedtime routine
This would include relaxing activities like reading bedtimes stories, baths and cuddles and will eventually help your baby to know when its bed time. An important factor is to keep this routine low key as that will help your child to calm down before bedtime. Follow simple bedtime s habits and make sure you stick with the same schedule all nights and you ll have your baby sleep night.
Feeding your baby Encourage your child to feed as much as it needs during the day time ending with a final feeding before bedtime. It has been said that the more you feed your child during the daytime the less it needs to feed during the night time. If your child wakes at night for feeding just try to keep it low key. Feed your child in a darkened, quiet room with no distractions and noises and then lay it back in its cot. Your baby s cot has to be associated with sleeping time. Helping your baby associate its cot with bedtime is the third step to aiding your baby sleep night. If your child looks tired during either day or night time, lay it in its cot before it falls asleep. This teaches your baby that its cot is associated with sleeping and if they wake at night it will be more likely that it falls to sleep again as it recognizes the cot as a safe and comfortable place to sleep in. Following these simple advices above will aid your baby sleep problems and it shouldn t be long until you ll get your long awaited night sleep.
